Automated notifications/communications to IMOS users and external parties

We would like to notify IMOS users in real-time when an action is required of them, such as approving an invoice, approving a charter party / estimate or completing a task. Many stakeholders are involved throughout the pre-fixture to post-fixture processes, who are working in many systems, and for many, IMOS is not the primary system, so they do not have time to be constantly checking workspaces in IMOS.

It is currently possible to set up daily scheduled reports to be sent out to stakeholders, but this is inefficient and we are in need of a real-time notification system.

In an ideal world, this would also extend to non IMOS users, they do not need full access to the system, but the ability to record a task has been completed which IMOS processes depend on, and for that to be acknowledged in IMOS. This will provide full transparency of our chartering and operational processes end-to-end which we can constantly monitor and improve.
