allow date functions in Report Designer that equate to a resulted date and not an integer

Allow date manipulation functions in Report Designer to be able to add/substract a date part from a date field and have the result equate to a date object and not just an integer
(i.e. "month(dateXYZ) - 1" if dateXYZ is in the month of January would equate to a December result and not the literal integer 0)
