IMOS WAR AREAS and PIRACY HIGH RISK LAYERS updates
There are frequent updates and additions to the list of war areas (which are different to the piracy high risk areas) that using the layers in IMOS is becoming quite confusing to understand if a voyage will enter / transit a war area.
IMOS should include regular updates to war areas and the piracy layers and perhaps hide the outdated ones but have them available to unhide for reference.

Hi Alex,
Agree with your note. We make an effort to maintain the list of active piracy zones as per the JWLA and other entities. We deactivate zones that are no longer relevant, or are subsumed into other active zones. For example, last month (Jan 25) a release deactivated the Somalia 250nm zone. Our understanding from clients is that what zones are shown today are still effective in the sense that they are referenced directly in contracts. If you can help us confirm that this is not the case, we can further validate. Thanks. -

Alex WardHi,
Thanks Per. Pls see below response:
"It does look like it's been cleaned up a bit but not completely.
They show the War Risk Areas (JWLA) under Piracy and although there is some overlap of war and piracy risks in some of the JWLA areas, not all are also Piracy areas. They also still seem to be missing some of the Asian Risk Areas for piracy."
