Vessel Bunker Types. Deactivation and order change
Hello. Would be nice to have a solution for:
1. Deactivate vessel bunker types in case vessel doesn`t use it any more.
2. Change bunker types order for more logical reproduction in Voyage and Veslink forms. Now we can add new bunker type at the end only...what is not always well. Fuel oils, Diesel oils and LNG may me mixed.
Thank you.

Bobby Morse Admin PinnedA new feature to deactivate older fuel types on vessels has been released. Please check release notes and documentation for more details regarding the functionality and set up.
The request for adding additional fuel types on Vessels that may already have reached the existing limit has been included in a separate request item:

Norden BAFrom the Oncourse Singapore presentation material, it looks like this is amongst the "priority 1" items for IMO 2020 phase 2 development roadmap:
FUEL VERSIONING
USE CASE: As an operator I need to add new fuel types on the vessel and delete the ones that the vessel does not use anymore.
SOLVES: Fuel De-activation and addition of more than 6 fuels per vessel. -

Norden BAIt should also be possible to rename the Code for a fuel type, even though it is already used elsewhere in the system. It will allow us to use less ambiguous, less confusing “names” (read: codes), since the description is not visible/available everywhere. (Example: IFO -> HSF)

Aldo ValerioPoint #1 would be very useful. #2 is interesting. I agree with the comment from Norden BA about renaming a fuel type to something more meaningful... along with this I would suggest that more letters are allowed, so that we could name HSF as HSFO, LGO as LSMGO, LSF as VLFSO, ULF as ULSFO, etc. Currently we have to send the decoding information to the master to explain hwo to enter the Veslink Forms.

MSLpoint #1, been waiting for this for years, a "must have" feature for sure. I thought this is already in Development... Can someone from Veson advise on the estimated released date? thank you.
point #2, nice to have feature, yes, agree.
Able to rename bunker codes? sorry but i don't agree, bunker codes are used in financial. if want to change/respell the code, recreate the bunker type after deactivation. -

RyanConcerning that this is still "Under Consideration" while others have moved to "Planned" when this was promised as top priority at last Oncourse.
There was a whole road-map for Bunker related Developments, but as usual, no updates. -

HariThere is a limitation of showing the number of bunker types on the system, which can be increased while addressing the bunker deactivation option

Lasse HoeiThis would indeed be very nice. Just deactivation will be necessary and the hide it on vessel card and voyages. Then we can create new grades to have better naming of grades to match IMO2020

Mark EFeature number 1(removing old fuel types) would be really useful, particularly now IFO is no longer in use on any of our ships and this has been requested multiple times by our users.
Feature 2 would be a nice to have, more so if feature 1 isnt addressed.. -

Bobby Morse AdminHi - from the May 10th release notes:
When CFGBunkerDeactivation is enabled, the Vessel form will display an Inactive column in the In Port Consumption table that can be used to mark fuels as inactive. When a fuel type is marked as inactive for a vessel, new Voyages, Estimates, and Time Charters for the vessel will no longer display the inactive fuel type in bunker-related grids or consume it.
In the event that an error correction to a fuel type needs to be made on a Voyage, hidden fuels can be reactivated by selecting the "Re-activate Fuels on Voyage" in the Voyage Bunkers dropdown menu. The Voyage may then be resynced to the Vessel by selecting "Sync Fuel Deactivation From Vessel" in the same dropdown.
This feature requires a minimum schema version of 407.
