To lock individual estimate calculations
To have the function to lock individual estimate calculations, so that there will not be accidental changes to the base calcs. Users can always copy this base calcs for similar business.
And users with the right security rights can always unlock those estimate when it needs updating and then have it locked again.

FreddieSo its to lock the Estimate template w/o needing to fix it into a voyage or making it into a Benchmark Estimate.
And if changes are required, users can unlock it, so that everyone knows the change to the template is intended. -

Per Ostman AdminHi Freddie - thanks for reaching out on this. In the Properties section of the Estimate, there is a tickbox for Template. When ticked, this locks the Estimate and prevents it from being fixed, etc. Editing a "Template" Estimate is granted by a specific security right, so it is a good option for creating template calcs that users can copy and adapt for more repeatable business. Please feel free to reach out directly to our support team on this to discuss further, but this might be a good option.

FreddieThanks Per. Have spoken with support team and it solved half of my request. ie other users cannot edit my "template" estimate.
The other half would be for me to not edit my own template estimate by accident also, so that whenever i made a change to the template estimate I have to unlock (or copy) it each time before I can do any changes. ie I amend my template intentionally.
