Rules to populate or change filed statuses

similar to rules and alerts which alert you when some conditions are met. it would be nice to have rules which could populate fields or change statuses. i.e if a TCI has 4 voyages connected to it, once all 4 voyages statuses are set to closed TCI status would automatically be set to closed. i am sure ppl will find many more such examples to which this can be applied.
