Tasks and Alerts for Financial invoice
We need TASKS and ALERTS to be applicable for Invoices module . Currently we have no functionality to make few fields mandatory or add some alerts or validations or conditions in the Invoice entity level.

Robert WinbergHi, YES. This what we would also need very much. I have brought this up already a few times to Veson. Task and alert on the TDE screen/posting screen to avoid user mistakes. With blocking and/or validations for fields we could avoid many mistakes. Mistakes affect SAP side and manual corrections need to be done on that side.

Cargo is missing from line item, still wanna post? or can we can make certain fields hard-stop if value is missing or is not in the manner it should be..
You are now using a customer which doesn't have a SAP customer number. Still wanna post?
You are trying to post an AR invoice with AP tax code. Please correct! -

Saifuddin RajInvoice shall have mandatory fields as well as alerts. This will enable user(says Operations) to record all valid fields in Invoice which is useful for users across various other departments (like Finance). Invoice received date, Invoice Currency, due date are few such fields. Also if user forgets to attach say an invoice for Payable invoice, system shall allow alert to be set

NH LohWe would like to put the header group items (such as Due date as mandatory items), because we need to manually create Transaction Data entry for Transshipment invoices, and system is currently ok with posting AP transactions for TRNS invoice type without Due Date.

Lance NunezYes, this would be helpful as well as additional fields for sorting and filtering. For example, it would be very helpful to have the port field added to the transactional summary.

Dmitry Fomichev. SCFTasks and Alerts shell be more flexible. We should be able to apply them on any system object we want...not only predefined list.

Aldo ValerioTasks and Alerts should be available for the Claims and Laytime forms. We have been asking for quite some time to make the Analyst field mandatory. We would also like to make other fields mandatory (e.g., Last Action, Last Action Date, Original Amount, etc.).
The lack of this feature is a weak point in the Claims and Demurrage module. -

Sam Farhadi AdminThis has been completed, will provide links to documentation soon. For now, a high level explanation: users with access to the Tasks & Alerts Rule Set List will now find a new option in the "applies to" dropdown: Financial Invoices. Use this to create rules that will generate alerts which apply to both the Journal Entry and Transaction Data Entry forms. There is also a configuration flag to determine whether or not you would like save-preventing errors to prevent users from bulk-posting those invoices and journals; CFGIgnoreSavePreventingAlertsInInvoiceBulkPosting. It is disabled by default, which will mean save-preventing errors will indeed prevent users from posting invoices that violate them via bulk post. Set this flag to Y if you would like users to be able to get around save-preventing errors via bulk post.

Sijin JohnWith reference to VS-212949 in JIRA Bahri environment , I understand there is a limitation in the alerts and tasks that you cannot compare two fields in the financial invoice screen. For example I had requested to create an Alert "Error - Prevent Saving' if the Accounting Date is less than the invoice date. We could complete it partially using Custom expressions. Although the system alerted when Accounting Date < Invoice date and prevented saving , we could not use this because the system did not allow to proceed even if accounting date was altered. This was because of the way the alert had to be set.

IN short we need options to alert when we compare fields within the financial detail screen. -

EveHello dear developers, with the ref. VS-215968 we would need an option of alert Preventing Saving in TDE VIEW when Acc.date and Invoicing date are different, but they can be the same. Thank you in advance for your effort and understanding of customers' needs..
