Drop and Pick around Sumed Pipeline and Suez Canal
Propose to have a Max volume loaded as a field to cover the situation where a vessel enters the Sumed system, drops off cargo into the pipeline system. Transits the canal and loads additional cargo after. Charter contracts are based on maximum volume loaded, but VIP currently sums all loads so the correct freight is not calculated. Flag would be needed to use Max Volume loaded for some contracts.

john jacobsJames Morgan, you come with excellent proposals for important fixes! The Suez canal and the related SUMED system are of vital importance in the global shipping industry. We are forced to have freight calculations for VLCC done outside the system, which is absurd. No one in our company understands, that there is no way for VIP to calculate freight for VLCCs that transit through the Suez canal. This really needs to be fixed.
